Blackstone Group LP has raised more than $10 billion for its latest real estate fund, Blackstone Real Estate Partners VII, and is looking to reach $12 billion, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday. A Blackstone spokesman declined to comment. The Wall Street Journal reported on the fund's status earlier Friday.
The Blackstone Group L.P. (Blackstone) is a manager of private capital and provider of financial advisory services. Shares of BX traded higher by 1.99% or $0.31/share to $15.92. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $10.51 and as high as $19.63. On average, 2592330 shares of BX exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 1497438.
