The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1000 GMT on Tuesday: ** Shareholder advisory firm Glass Lewis joined ISS on Monday in recommending that Dell Inc stockholders vote in favor of CEO Michael Dell's $24.4 billion offer to take over the ailing PC maker.** British soft drinks maker Britvic sounded less than enthusiastic about the prospect of resurrecting a merger with smaller rival A.G. Barr after the proposed deal was officially cleared by the competition watchdog on Tuesday.
