Magellan says acquires Eagle Ford-Houston oil pipeline, (NYSE: MMP), (NYSE: RDS-B)

Magellan Midstream Partners LP said on Thursday it acquired a 150,000 barrel per day crude oil pipeline that would ship oil from the Eagle Ford oil fields to its East Houston terminal in Texas. It said the crude oil could then be either stored at the terminal or shipped further to the reversed Houma-to-Houston pipeline system operated by Royal Dutch Shell Plc.

Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. is engaged in the transportation, storage and distribution of refined petroleum products. Shares of MMP fell by 0.57% or $-0.31/share to $53.69. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $39.06 and as high as $56.78. On average, 612619 shares of MMP exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 81443.

Shares of RDS-B fell by 1.06% or $-0.71/share to $65.98. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $65.02 and as high as $76.13. On average, 1125050 shares of RDS-B exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 179360.
