Ingenico says will not buy U.S. assets from Hypercom, (INGC), (NYSE: HYC)

French payment services provider Ingenico (INGC.PA) will not purchase Hypercom Corp's (HYC.N) U.S. assets, a spokesman for Ingenico said on Friday. "The deal with the U.S. assets of Hypercom will not happen," a spokesman for Ingenico told Reuters. Ingenico had announced plans early April to buy the electronic payment operations from Hypercom for $54 million.

Hypercom Corporation (Hypercom) is a global provider of electronic payment and transaction solutions and value-added services at the point of transaction. Shares of HYC remained unchanged at $9.7. In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $3.05 and as high as $12.70. On average, 1061010 shares of HYC exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 0.
