Canada still to own CANDU intellectual property, (TSE: SNC)

The Canadian government will still own all intellectual property of its CANDU nuclear reactors after the sale of its reactor division to SNC-Lavalin Inc (SNC.TO), the government said on Wednesday. "The government of Canada will retain ownership of all CANDU intellectual property, while providing an exclusive license to CANDU Energy to grow its business," Natural Resources Canada said in a statement. CANDU Energy is the SNC-Lavalin subsidiary which will take over the reactor division of the government's Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.
